Here we have a formula to figure the cost of a Normal 35W Halogen Spot:

Watt x Hours used ÷ 1000 x price per kWh = cost of electricity

Let’s say you have a 35 Watt Halogen Spot running continuously 8 hours a day, that’s 240 hours a Month and you’re paying 20¢/kWh. Your cost for that 35W Halogen Spot for 1 Month is 35 x 240 ÷ 1000 x 20¢ = $1.68

Now you say hmm that’s not that bad, but we are only talking about 1 35 Watt Spot for 1 Month, that’s 12x$1.68 = $20.16 a Year and you don’t just have one Bulb/Spot in the House

Lets say you have 40 35W Halogen Spots, if not then have in mind you will have more than 1 Spot or Bulb in the House/Company, its just to see the savings with LED Lightning.

40x$1.68 = $67.20 a Month x12(Month) = $806.40 a Year

I have seen many pure quality LED Spotlights around the net, but mostly USA related, like on Amazon, where there are clams I just can not believe 3W LED which can replace a 35 watt Halogen, that is most of the time not possible, also many dont mention the Lumen of there LED spotlight which is the most important, but other which do mention the lumen of there spots are just not true.

So watch out for fake products out there, also when the price looks to good to be true it mostly is. I always recommend to buy 1 spot in the beginning and replace your old lightning to see how it is, then if things looks ok, then order more.

This can also go the other way, I would also not buy a 5W LED spot with 300 lumen for 25$ thats to much.
